DR. JAMES MACLURE
Drayton Valley was home until college where I had the opportunity to travel with an orchestra and choir before I started training to be an X-Ray Technologist (NAIT) in 1990. The University of Alberta Hospital hired me to take X-Rays on the evening shift while I worked through my Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. I have been practicing in my neighborhood for a while now and I feel privileged to be a part of people’s lives here in South Edmonton. I am usually quite excited to tell you about my outdoor adventures with Teena, our kids, and friends. I look forward to seeing you soon.
KERRI
After completing my BA in Counselling, I returned to Edmonton and took a part time Dental Receptionist position. My journey in dentistry has landed me at Maclure Family Dentistry for 13+ years. I’m passionate about singing, good food and those I love. 4 years ago, my birthday gift to myself was piano lessons! Weekends you’ll likely find me doing one of those things or teaching on the side with a healing and prayer ministry that I’ve been involved in for the last 15 years.
TAYLOR
Born and raised in small town Alberta. Made the move to Edmonton to attend the Dental Assisting program at NAIT and began my career with Maclure Family Dentistry. Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors, snowboarding in the winter and hiking in the summer. I am passionate about good food. You will often find me out searching for the greatest local eats or spending time in the kitchen recreating fun recipes. I look forward to seeing you all soon!
TEENA
Born and raised in Edmonton. I started my work life as a teacher, then stayed home to raise our 3 sons. When they were all grown up I went to NAIT to train as a dental assistant. I now manage the administrative and clinical aspects of Maclure Family Dentistry. Outside of work you may see me running and biking with my husband and my friends. I also love going to the mountains! I look forward to meeting you at the dental office!
MELANIE
I grew up on an acreage near Spruce Grove until graduating from dental hygiene at the U of A in 2000, at which point home became the south side of Edmonton. I have worked with Dr. Maclure since 2004, and in telling my story to patients over the years, I have often said that I “came with the practice”, having worked at the practice prior to Dr. Maclure taking it over. Maclure Family Dentistry quickly became my work home and I am privileged to work with an outstanding group of people! When in my dental chair, you may hear me mention my husband and two children, and their sporting and musical endeavours, or you may hear me rejoice or lament over any recent Oilers’ wins or losses!
LINDA
Born and raised in and near Calgary, I took Dental Assisting at SAIT and worked in Calgary for several years. Although I enjoyed Dental Assisting very much, when my husband and I moved to Windsor, Ontario, I was accepted in the Dental Hygiene program which I completed in 1992. Job opportunities in Calgary, Yellowknife, Grande Prairie and now Edmonton have provided a wide variety of experiences and opportunities for learning, which I have greatly enjoyed. Oral health has always been interesting and fun for me and I try to engage my patients in that light. BEST thing to date - being a Grandma!
